Running Our Race

Praise the Lord, people of God!
This passage of scripture was very recently discussed in a theology class I am taking.
The phrase that was pertinent to me had to do with running with endurance the race that is set before us. That is so where I am right now! What has God called me to do, (what has He called YOU to do?), and am I cooperating with God?? We are to be fixed having within our sights, what our goal is. And God almighty! Make sure the "goal" is from God. There is a peace that comes when one realizes that if he or she is in God's perfect will, Come what may, " I am right where God wants me. Things may seem odd, but God will get the glory out of this situation." The secret things belong to God, and He is handling every aspect of your surrendered and obedient life. What are you worried about? Run your race! A race is hard and a race requires something. There will be exertion, energy expended, you may think you have "hit the wall". It takes much endurance. But hold on, your second breath is coming! And that is a Divine Breath, another Helper: Holy Spirit. What a blessing to know we do not run our race on our own. I have been having thoughts of staying in my lane, doing what God has called me to do, in concert with Abba Father and others I am assigned to in co-ministry or to actually minister to. That's it! All else is in God's hands. He IS God and I am not. The freedom within the borders or parameters of entering into his rest is awesome. There is liberty within the boundaries of God and is Word! The more I obey Him, the more freedom I have. The goal and his will for our lives is in that Word! In order for the specifics of YOUR race which is set before you to come to pass, keep pressing into deeper, fuller relationship with Him, and obey Him. Keep the focus, run your race! We are not competing one with another. It's all we can do to keep ourselves on track by the Spirit of God! But we ARE a team. The Body of Christ, fitly joined together, each part working properly, builds the body up in love. So, as I do what I am to do for God and you do what YOU are to do for God, we all benefit. A built-up body runs a better "race" from the greeter at the door to the set-man or woman. And God gets the glory! Our scripture says this brings him joy and it is because it is a reflection of Him. God loves to see you run your God-ordained race! Let's purpose to do just that! God is cheering us on...... Amen.
A Balm in Gilead

Is there no balm in Gilead?
Is there no physician there?
Jeremiah 8:22
Praise the Lord, Beloved of God,
Sometimes it can all be a bit much, can't it? We live such busy, full lives! I have many irons in the fire and the only way to keep things going is to draw on the Lord. Take tonight for instance. There are a few deadlines approaching and they all seem to want to be the priority. I turned to the Lord, "God oil the gears of my being". I could feel a peace, a calm come over me. Abba soothed me! The "Balm in Gilead" I thought. A balm... it is a soothing, healing ointment. Just what was needed for the scratchy, inflamed places. For, you see, a balm soothes an irritation. I am all right now! I can handle it now! The Great Physician Himself is my medicine. We have to look to the hills from which comes our help. Our help comes from the Lord! Stop right in the midst of whatever ails you and get back centered in Him. Discern his hovering, peaceful Presence right now ! Soothing...healing, Amen. Thank God for Jesus! Verse 19 of Jeremiah asks," Is the LORD not in Zion? Is her King not in her?" Come on, Zion! You know God is with us. And He told me years ago, " I am in the details of your life". No matter how minute or inconsequential you may think it is, God cares for you! God is with you right where you are as the Balm in Gilead. KNOW that and be encouraged. Amen.

Theme One: The Kingdom

Kingdom greetings!
The sixth-grade reading anthology for my students is broken down into six themes. The stories within fit themes such as "Growing Up" or "Courage"( Those themes might be good for US, too). Abba seems to have a "theme" in effect. I have re-read some of my postings and teachings and I see a common thread of The Kingdom running through them. The Kingdom of God within and living/ministering out of the Kingdom is what Abba has been emphasizing. I wrote HE has put the emphasis on the Kingdom! Theme One: The Kingdom. When I teach my students I am either introducing a new skill/concept or they are expected to master a concept they were introduced to in a previous grade. I may have to re-teach, refresh, spiral back and/or practice said skill. But I am to keep at it, as are my students. No Child Left Behind. In a way, that is what Abba Father is doing as he sometimes has me re-visit The Kingdom in some way. He wants us to really get it in our spirits. You may be asking, "Why?". Because it is long past time to come out of spiritual elementary school and graduate into The Kingdom. Are we not ready to do the "greater works" promised us?
John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greaterworks than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Abba Father has much to teach us but are we ready? He is nudging us onward to a deeper and fuller maturity:
Hebrews 6:1-3 (Amplified Bible)
Â
THEREFORE LET us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ (the Messiah), advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity. Let us not again be laying the foundation of repentance and abandonment of dead works (dead formalism) and of the faith [by which you turned] to God, With teachings about purifying, the laying on of hands, the resurrection from the dead, and eternal judgment and punishment. [These are all matters of which you should have been fully aware long, long ago.] If indeed God permits, we will [now] proceed [to advanced teaching].
I do not know about you, but I want God to advance and mature me! If The Teacher says review and re-teach, so be it. Abba Father is saying seek out The Kingdom! I am purposed to post or write out teachings that He drops in my spirit, and this is the theme. The Kingdom is foundational for what we are called to do in this world:
Luke 9:1 - 3
Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
Let us obey God and pursue the release of The Kingdom of God within. In Jesus' name, Amen!
The Antonymn

Titus 1:2
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Nehemiah 10:39 (English Standard Version)
For the people of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the contribution of grain, wine, and oil to the chambers, where the vessels of the sanctuary are, as well as the priests who minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers.
"We will not neglect the house of our God."
I am still required to obey and bring my "tithes and offerings into the storehose" (Malachi 3:10). When we take care of Abba's business and obey in faith, He takes care of OUR business! The righteous do not go begging for bread, or anything else. Declare the Word! And believe it. We are not deceived by the enemy's devices. I know what God dropped in my spirit and I believe God! Here is a thing I have learned: The enemy is going to operate in just the opposite of what God says, and what He wants to do for, and through Us. We must be wise. So because of the attack on my finances, I am even more assured and certain I heard God. No more lack! Glory to God!! This attack is an antonymn, polar opposite of what God has purposed for me. The enemy is a liar trying to steal my blessing and the place in which God would have me to walk. I am excited! I have food, clothing, and shelter and if I have one penny, I have money! I told God this morning I do not have a "Plan B". He is my "Plan A", as in Alpha and Omega! I am totally dependant on HIM. I do not have any strategies to work things out. "I do not borrow, I lend." I reminded Him it is in his Word. I must approach this with a Kingdom mindset, perspective, and tenacity. WE must walk in that God-given authority! I do not want to worry, I do not want to feel angst. Just...No! I will keep my eyes on God! The focus here is not on me. I am just giving a current testimony and I hope it encourages someone in whatever your temporary circumstances may be. Do not buy into the into the enemy's lies. Know that, actually, it is completely opposite of what you are facing. See the antonymn of the situation. I know funds are on the way! It has nothing to do with my bank account. I have been in this place before, and God has never let me down. NEVER. Never, ever! I am smiling as I type because "no lack" is surely a reality, hence, this attack. I will not speak against what Abba said to me in prayer. "No lack in ANY area." Any area! Are you kidding me? Yes Lord, I am warring over THAT word! What has Abba Father told you? Is an antonymn in effect? It is just the opposite of what you are experiencing in the natural. You must be somebody in the kingdom! That word is right around the corner about to be fulfilled! Be encouraged. I celebrate you, Beloved! I choose to celebrate right in the face of the "antonymn" situation. Let's celebrate together. Discern the reality of that word coming to pass. You know what God said! Keep speaking it into the atmosphere. And may God shut the mouth of the enemy! Stay kingdom-minded, dear ones. Amen.
EMPOWERED

1 Corinthians 4:20
For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power
Spiritual blessing, favor and peace be yours from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ,
This is my first post of the new year! I received a text message from a dear friend on the 1st that closed, “Be empowered to prosper!” “Amen”, I responded. “Even as my soul prospers.” Our souls prosper because they are empowered by the Holy Spirit. We are Spirit-filled Christians, baptized in the Holy Spirit. Any power you and I have as Kingdom people, comes from Him!
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, andyou will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
2 Timothy 1:7
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
I am not speaking of what the world considers “power”. I recently read an interesting anecdote about the famous mystery writer, Agatha Christie. It seems she received ideas for her mysteries from different people she met in various walks of life. One doctor she met used to carry around a piece of deadly poison from the South American rain forest. When asked why by Agatha Christie he said,” I like the feeling of power it gives me.” He had a "sense" of power, a physical sensation , a “feeling”, really, of power. The stimulus, the poison, was subjective and he had a mental awareness of power. The so called power he thought he had was in the flesh. The Bible tells us to put no confidence in the flesh, but have confidence before God! ( Phil 3:3: I John 3:21). That doctor's fleshly confidence was because of the potential to cause death. OUR confidence is spiritual and is an actuality that means life! This is the confidence we have, we can approach God, ask of Him, be in relationship with Him. Hebrews 10:35 admonishes us:
"Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward." Jesus said the kingdom of God is within us and it is not in word, but in power! ( Luke 17:21; I Cor 4:20). That is power with God and that is a great reward. The down payment of the life of God within, from which we are to live and minister to others. The power we have is life in and through Christ Jesus. I like the power God has given!
2 Peter 1:3
Divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence,
Power that pertains and speaks not to death, but life is what I am talking about. We are empowered, we must only have faith to know and obtain from the Kingdom within, in the Name of Jesus. It not a pocket-sized pseudo-power like the doctor spoke of!
1 Corinthians 4:19-20
But I will come to you [and] shortly, if the Lord is willing, and then I will perceive and understand not what the talk of these puffed up and arrogant spirits amount to, but their force (the moral power and excellence of soul they really possess).
For the kingdom of God consists of and is based on not talk but power (moral power and excellence of soul).
With excellence of soul, a clear conscious toward God, and the boldness and confidence to approach Him and ask what we will, expecting to receive;the Power of God is manifested and demonstrated. My God, that is so very needed today! People need to experience the genuine power and Presence of God! The Power of God unto salvation, the gospel. Let us be aware of the power we carry by the Spirit of God, and be led by His Spirit to release that power to souls that are in need of the life of God. Glory to God! Operate out of the Kingdom of God within you!
Amen, be empowered.
It IS a Wonderful Life

Matthew 5:48 (The Message)
"In a word, what I'm saying is, Grow up. You're kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you."
2 Corinthians 5:18 (Amplified Bible)
But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him].
We have been given the “ministry of reconciliation" and we are “ambassadors for Christ” (vs. 20). THAT is a wonderful life! You need to know who you are in Christ Jesus, your “God-created identity”. If you do not know, ask Abba Father to reveal it to you. We are not here just existing! There is nothing more meaningful and fulfilling than touching another’s life for, and as led by, the Lord. It’s a wonderful life! I believe in the upcoming year Abba is requiring MORE from the people of God. It is NOT about us. It is all about Jesus! And His ultimate concern is souls in the balance. Abba has me to know my stuff is handled, now go out on assignment as it were, ready to be used whenever, wherever He says. God is looking for obedient, anointed folk like that, simply available. As we approach 2011, I want my testimony to be one of “It’s a wonderful life” because I am fulfilling Abba’s plans and purposes for my life. Don’t you? We are all in that process. We are not here just to “exist”, but to live our lives, or more specifically, to let Him live HIS life through us. It is very meaningful and exciting to “live generously” by touching others lives. Let us allow the space/”hole” we are to fill with our lives, to be filled to overflowing with the Presence of God Who dwells in us. Our very presence is to be a blessing! In doing so, we are more alive with the life of God. Amen.

John 3:16 (New International Version)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 13:35
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Hebrews 4:9
"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God."
Soul Peace Beloved of God,
This morning in my devotional time, Abba soothed me with the simple direction to simply rest in Him. There was a hovering embrace of restfulness. In this our holiday season I can certainly receive that word and I pray that you can receive it also! There may be much hustle and bustle going on in your lives, but Abba says enter into my rest as you go about your day. I just want to post some scriptures to meditate upon that we may be strengthened, and that the grace, peace, and restfulness of the Lord will be with US and evident to others:
Matthew 11:29-30 (American Standard Version)
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Psalm 91
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
Isaiah 32:18 (New International Version, ©2010)
My people will live in peaceful dwelling places,
in secure homes,
in undisturbed places of rest.
Acts 2:26 (King James Version)
Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope

Praise Him!
Today was a day of co-ministry and rich Word. Be instant in season
and out of season! You never know WHEN Abba Father will call on you to be of service. Beyond that are the friendships that Abba Father is developing. I am thankful for godly friendship and fellowship. It is the icing on the cake of ministry and Divine connections. If Our Father in heaven brings a saint into your life discern, even in that, if it is someone with whom you can walk out your Christian path.
Iron sharpens iron and that is a good thing! I'm thankful for people of like same faith, but yet fun to "hang out" with! Good friends round out one's life. God bless you, and remember if you would have friends, you must show yourself friendly.
I am praying that you have the abundant life!
Love Never Fails

Praise the Lord, Beloved of God,
And speaking of love I have been working on my love walk. The more love I have in me, the more of God I have in me. To bring God on the scene is to bring love on the scene; to bring love on the scene is to bring God on the scene, whatever it may be! So I have been listening to "The Love Chapter" of the Bible, I Corinthians 13 over and over and over again. It is the washing of the water of the Word that transforms us. And that transformation is a life-long process. We have none of us arrived. It is the engrafted Word of God that is able to save our souls. So I have been "washing" in an effort to love people with the God kind of love, agape love. As I listened to The Love Chapter quote the Apostle Paul, "Love never fails", I thought, "That is because God IS love!!" (I John 4:8) Love never fails because God never fails!
The LORD is righteous within her; He will do no injustice. Every morning He brings His justice to light; He does not fail, But the unjust knows no shame. Zephaniah 3:5
I will say it again in the good king's english: He faileth not! Dear One, let that sink way down off in your spirit. All things are possible with God. WITH God. Be sure you are in concert with God, in harmony with God, in agreement with God and His washing Word. That same Word says our God, our God of love never fails. Amen.
God's Mercies Are New EVERY Morning

Beloved,
It has been a glorious day, a glorious weekend. Productive and meaningful. That is a good thing! I purpose to stay in the moment. Tomorrow will take care of itself. I can still say God's mercies are new every morning expecting an even BETTER day tomorrow! That passage of scripture is not just for confessing after having a challenging day. Let's prophesy to our future! Goodness and mercy are following us! ( Psalm 23) His angels are literally encamped 'round about us.(Psalm 51) God CARES for us. While this weekend has been great, we are going from glory to glory! Tomorrow....this whole WEEK will be of a Kingdom Kind. Make that your prophetic confession. Sometimes it is a CHOICE how we feel and walk out our day. It is just as easy to choose to be joyous as it is to be in the dumps! The joy of the Lord is a fruit of the spirit and your strength. Share your praise reports no matter WHEN you read this post. It is no accident you are reading it NOW and there is no distance in the Spirit.
Blessings!
WHAT is "sola scriptura'?

Grace, mercy, and peace,
You may or may not have a question about the phrase''"sola scriptura" I have in the footer of the Arnion Ministries website. Here is the definition:
Question: "What is sola scriptura?"
Answer: The phrase sola scriptura is from the Latin: sola having the idea of “alone,” “ground,” “base,” and the word scriptura meaning “writings”—referring to the Scriptures. Sola scriptura means that Scripture alone is authoritative for the faith and practice of the Christian. The Bible is complete, authoritative, and true. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
The phrase means just what it says - scripture only. Bible only! Scripture is the foundation for my life, and I base the things I share with you on biblical principals. The Word of God NEVER fails and is full of life. We can have faith in the Truth of the Word!

Kingdom greetings, Beloved of God!
Today is my birthday and I just want to thank God for another year! This has been a year of enlarging of the tent. That implies pulling up stakes, stretching of the tent and hammering in at new postitons. Through it all Abba Father was ,and is, in control. My birthday gift is my deepening relationship with Him. Every breath we take is a gift! I am grateful for new mercies today. Thank you, Jesus: God's Perfect Gift! Blessings to you all.
